I separated the cats a few weeks ago: Amber has her bedroom and her litterbox, the boys have the basement and theirs. This has worked. Amber has stopped using the living room to do her business, her scabs from over-grooming are healing, and I’m sleeping better because I’m not fending off fighting cats in the middle of the night.

Unfortunately — this has worked. If I ever move out of the house on Bobb Street, I will probably need to find another home for Amber. I find this thought vaguely troubling, but in my usual way I’m putting it aside till I need to actually worry about it.

Damn cats.

Things I believed in when I was 16, which I now believe to be false: Multiple Personality Disorder, 10% of the brain theory, most conspiracy theories, I am immune to seasickness.

Things I still believe in: most people are inherently good.

Things I know now: most people are inherently busy.

I baked eleven items last weekend. I am learning to perfect scrambled eggs and omelets, though I personally don’t like either.

This morning I got up and put away laundry. Then I made more laundry, and tonight I will make even more. That’s the nice thing about travel. It always makes me do laundry.

Speaking of which: I really need to stop watching Seconds from Disaster before multi-state flights.

Hey Steph, left that pork and pomegranate sauce under the other post, but wanted to give you another recipe for a very tasty dish that I just couldn’t keep enough of, when serving at two dinner parties.

The rigatoni with cinnamon-scented meat sauce might sound a bit odd or scary at first (the cinnamon is somewhat subtle) and next time I try it, instead of using all turkey, which I normally do, I might try a ground beef, turkey, and pork combination to make it more bolognese-like.

Check out http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/05/12/WIGIACN41Q1.DTL and tell me what you think.

It sounds like something Lynn Rosetto Casper would make…I gotta try it :)

Thanks Marsha, and sorry this got marked as spam. My spam filter is usually so good
