Despite a blip yesterday where my debit card refused to work (somewhere, a UMB server died, and it took debit verification with it), my weekend was pretty good.

I am, in fact, almost done with all my Christmas shopping.  There are two people left to buy for, and only one of them I don’t know what I’m getting him/her.   For that, I have the mom.  For the rest, there’s Mastercard.

This Friday is the office Christmas party — we’re invited to make appetizers, so I will commence with the crab dip.  This weekend is also Christmas baking, which means fruitcake #1, fruitcake #2, and the inevitable white trash.  I’ll be doing the macaroons and lemon bars in California, because my mom has a dishwasher and I don’t.  I may also need to make some peppermint-chocolate cupcakes for the office because oh man I am jonesing for cupcakes.  Again.
