in brief.

I got plenty o’ stuff done at the office. But what I really wanted to do was write.

We get a four day weekend, because our boss makes the best bacon ever.

Tonight I’m going to try the microwave tomato sauce in the Alton Brown cookbook. I’ll let you all know how it turns out.

A knish is a beautiful thing. A latke is almost as beautiful. And a low-fat reuben sandwich on Jewish rye with sweet and sour coleslaw is sexier than Matt Damon with a teacup on his head.

Microwave? Oh, hear the tears of my grandmother.

Actually it comes pretty good in the microwave. ;)

My tribe does have an odd edge on noshing, no?

Damn — now I’m craving brisket — and there is none on Cape Cod. Maybe I’ll go to S&S deli next time I have a doctor’s appointment in the city.

Oh. Oh. Ruben on rye. You’re killin’ me. Killin’ me. I actually just started salivating.

Apparently I miss meat more than I thought.

She said she misses meat. Heh heh heh.

Corey, technically if you go back to the late 1700s you’ll find that on my grandmother’s side of the family we were known as the Weisskopfs — a family of German Jews.

Perhaps this is where my family’s kvetching and noshing habits originate.

    (sounds of noshing)
